Harbor Seals/Bay Ridge Aquatic Institute

The Harbor Seals Swim Team is currently in its 15th year as a competitive age group swim team. We practice in the Thomas F. Greene swimming pool at Fort Hamilton High School in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Our focus is on developing goal-oriented, motivated individuals who wish to achieve success in swimming through a combination of instruction, training and competition. Because we are subject to limits specific to NYC Department of Education facilities, our membership is capped; we accept new members only when roster spots become available, after which tryouts are offered. Prospective Harbor Seals must be competent in the four competitive strokes and meet age appropriate time standards. Children from ages 7 to 12 are eligible for selection, but members who wish to continue past the age of twelve may remain through their high school years by meeting minimum competition requirements.
