USA Swimming Honored by PR News with D&I Award

USA Swimming was honored with the PR News Diversity & Inclusion Campaign Award during PR News' Annual Winter Awards Luncheon in Washington, D.C. at the National Press Club. PR News highlighted USA Swimming’s Cultural Inclusion Resource Guides which included the organization’s first-ever African-American, LGBTQ and Hispanic/Latino guides in both English and Spanish.  The PR News Diversity and Inclusion Awards showcase top public relations professionals, organizations and campaigns that put diversity and inclusion at the center of its messaging and demonstrates an overall commitment to diversity for the organization.
“I’m proud of our entire team at USA Swimming whose collaborative efforts have contributed to this award and to making the sport of swimming more inclusive,” said Mariejo "MJ" Truex, USA Swimming Director of Programs and Services (Pictured). “By creating educational resources, we’re ensuring that our membership is informed of our policies, procedures and best practices to increase opportunities for community engagement and programming.”
