What are Coaches Saying?
Q: What did you like best about the course?
: Aquatic Director at Energy Fitness: Diversity of info, very knowledgeable, applied to many scenarios; and large amount of content that is relevant.
: member of pool project committee: Personal attention to our unique situation
: Director of Facilities Calhoun City Schools:” The frankness of the finance piece
: Marketing Director of Energy Fitness: Good transition to multiple topics; very informational. Flash drive is a great benefit
: Head Coach Swim Neptune: I just returned from the Regional Build a Pool Conference in Sherman Oaks, CA. As a coach-owned club, I went with the intention of moving beyond the “dream” of building our own facility to finding out more about what that would actually mean and what the next preliminary steps would be. I was not disappointed. I found the conference to be the best I have ever attended. The wealth of information presented went far beyond just the nuts and bolts of building a pool. It was information that will be extremely important to building our program whether or not we actually are able to get our own hole in the ground!
: Swim Club Parent: Aquatic Holdings: I attended the regional build-a-pool conference in Lyndhurst, NJ last weekend, and wanted to provide my personal feedback. I was overwhelmed by the amount and quality of content offered in the conference. From the land acquisition to the facility-building to the aquatics programming, Mick and Sue provided invaluable information. My business partners and I thought we had a good handle on our plans and business model, but the information from the conference caused us to refine our plans and create a superior water-based continuum in a state-of-the-art facility.
I want to thank USA Swimming for the regional conferences they provide. I can't think of another national organization that supports its members at the grassroots like USA Swimming!
REGIONAL BUILD A POOL CONFERENCES
In an effort to make attendance at the conferences more economical, we have scheduled six regional Build-a-Pool Conferences with a variety of dates and locations to choose from. These one day (or 1 & ½ day) workshop style events are conducted by our Facilities Development staff. To date we estimate these conferences have been an important part of over 65 new facilities being commissioned. They have also played a supporting role in over 100 additional projects. Our professional providers have played a major part in these successes. Attendees receive a 4 gig flash drive with all materials presented plus lots of supporting information.
The format offers information about:
- Programming pools for financial sustainability
- Renovating and upgrading/changing existing pools
- Expanding or adding on to pools
- Designing and building new facilities
