Make a Splash Affiliate Coalition
The Make a Splash Affiliate Coalition is a strategic cohort comprised of aquatic industry leaders and community organizations. Partnering with the USA Swimming Foundation, we all share one common goal: promoting the importance of learn to swim and water safety.
While partnerships vary in content, Affiliate Coalition members agree to provide a service to Make a Splash and/or offer a platform for the Foundation’s message of learn to swim and water safety.
The USA Swimming Foundation is proud to have partnered with the following organizations where together, we are creating a nation where every child has the opportunity to learn to swim.

The National Drowning Prevention Alliance
The NDPA will work with the USA Swimming Foundation to achieve a common goal of drowning prevention. As part of its overall efforts to spread the message of drowning prevention throughout the nation, the NDPA will recognize the USA Swimming Foundation as its primary resource for swim lesson referral in the United States. Additionally, the NDPA will help to spread the lifesaving message of learn-to-swim to its broad network of partners and constituents, allowing the USA Swimming Foundation to share its Make a Splash initiative with an expanded population. The USA Swimming Foundation is proud to support these efforts as a sponsor of NDPA’s Annual Symposium, and as a co-sponsor of the National Lifesaver of the Year Award, distributed annually in March.
Starfish Aquatics Institute (SAI) 
SAI will serve as a resource to the USA Swimming Foundation’s Make a Splash local partners, providing materials in the areas of risk management, emergency action plans, water safety day templates and other educational opportunities. Based in Savannah, Georgia, SAI was created by former coaches Robbin and Jill White.
Goggles for Guppies 
Goggles for Guppies has been named as the official equipment distributor for the Make a Splash initiative. The purpose of Goggles for Guppies is to solicit donations of swim gear such as goggles, caps, fins and kickboards and distribute this learn-to-swim equipment to Make a Splash local partner organizations. Goggles for Guppies was created by twin swimmers Matthew and Christopher Hales of Southern California.
The Joshua Collingsworth Memorial Foundation 
The Joshua Collingwoth Memorial Foundation (JCMF) will provide 100 “Josh the Baby Otter” storybooks at no cost for use at water safety events hosted by Make a Splash local partners of by USA Swimming’s “SWIMpact” athlete community appearance program. JCMF's mission is to educate children and adults worldwide about water safety through the utilization of drowning prevention campaigns and early childhood water safety training. The "Josh the Baby Otter" book has reached tens of thousands of young children from coast-to-coast and around the world with the simple and fun message of, "Never go near water without an adult."
National Water Safety Congress 
The NWSC will work with the USA Swimming Foundation in the interest of providing safe access and safe passage for all water-based recreational enthusiasts. Specifically the NWSC will promote the USA Swimming Foundation’s Make a Splash Local Partner program on its website and to its partners, and will waive educational and certificate training expenses for select Make a Splash Local Partner staff members and instructors.
Swim Lessons University
Swim Lessons University offers swim instructor training, certification, and a learn-to-swim curriculum. It is also resource for learn-to-swim and water
safety products. Swim Lessons University will promote the USA Swimming Foundation's Make a Splash Local Partner Program to all their clients and will add Make a Splash materials and enrollment folders to their new swim lesson provider start-up materials. They will also provide pro bono services and training for select Make a Splash partners and events based on availability and mutual agreement.
Consumer Product Safety Commission - Pool Safely Campaign.gif)
The Consumer Product Safety Commission will name the USA Swimming Foundation as a Pool Safely Campaign Safety Partner and will identify opportunities for the Foundation to be involved in campaign activities. The USA Swimming Foundation's activities and events will be promoted through social media outlets and the local partner and affiliate network will be highlighted via earned and social media materials.
The Safer 3 Water Safety Foundation
The Safer 3 Water Safety Foundation is honored to partner with the USA Swimming Foundation to promote their shared mission of water safety and drowning prevention education for the public. The Safer 3 Message raises
awareness of aquatic and water-related risks. The Safer 3 Program provides education tools to help families understand and reduce the number of senseless and preventable drownings each year. The Safer 3 Message and Program will be the “dry land” component of the Make a Splash Initiative, enhancing all that USA Swimming Foundation partners do in the water for their participants. The Safer 3 Foundation is delighted to provide its educational materials to USA Swimming Foundation's Make a Splash Local Partners and Affiliates throughout the country, mutually supporting the two organizations’ common vision of a world without drowning.
World Waterpark Association's World's Largest Swimming Lesson
World Waterpark Association’s World’s Largest Swimming Lesson is proud to align efforts with the USA Swimming
Foundation’s Make a Splash Initiative. Our common mission of building awareness of the importance of teaching children to swim allows the two organizations to work together via World’s Largest Swimming Lesson event host sites and the USA Swimming Foundation Make a Splash Local Partner Program to expand our reach to end childhood drowning in the United States and create a nation where every child has the opportunity to learn to swim. The USA Swimming Foundation’s Make a Splash Initiative and The World’s Largest Swimming Lesson and will cross-promote as a call to action in our mutual efforts to spread awareness of water safety and the importance of learning to swim by creating reciprocal participation opportunities for WLSL host sites and Make a Splash Local Partners (learn to swim providers), and building media awareness to generate press attention on a national level.
