Aloha, this picture was taken at the Hawaii State Short Course Championship meet on Oahu, July 2010. The race was the final of the Girls 11-12 100 meter Backstroke. My daughter, Kate Machorek of Swim Kauai Aquatics, is in lane 6, in the green and black suit, and placed 2nd in the event. I love the colors in this photo because it reminds me of a Hawaiian rainbow, swimming style, which we are lucky enough to see almost daily here in the islands.
