The Parent Governed Club

The most common swim club model in the US is the parent governed club. Most parent governed clubs are nonprofit organizations governed by a board of directors made up of parents. In this section you will find many documents and resources that relate directly to the parent goverened clubs and board governance.

Remember to look in the Club Operations section for topics that apply to all clubs, regardless of goverance structure.

For additional information on any topic in this section, contact your Sport Development Consultant and/or plan to attend a Club Leadership and Business Management course when it is offered in your area.
