Media Accreditation Policy

USA Swimming has established the media accreditation policy and broadcast agreement to provide journalists with a clear understanding of how media credentials will be processed for USA Swimming events and to provide broadcast crews with advance notice of the broadcast agreement prior to their coverage of events.

We are happy to provide credentials for journalists who meet these guidelines, and we appreciate media coverage at our events. We look forward to working with you. Please contact the USA Swimming Media Department if you have any questions.

All media members will be required to sign and abide by USA Swimming's professional journalism policies.

Videographers are required to abide by the USA Swimming Broadcast Agreement (.pdf) in addition to any event-specific requirements as determined by rights-holding broadcasters. Photographers are required to abide by USA Swimming's photographer guidelines.

Please note that agreement with the above forms will be assumed upon submission of the credential application.

Apply for a Credential Online

By applying for a credential, you are agreeing to the official USA Swimming Media Accreditation Policy listed above.

Media wishing to apply for accreditation for a USA Swimming event must submit the online credential request form. Please submit the credential application at least one week prior to the event you are interested in attending.

For any questions regarding credentials or for more information, please contact Karen Linhart at 719.866.3588 or klinhart@usaswimming.org.
