The National Team Manager Program | | The USA Swimming National Team Manager Program is designed to identify the best team managers around the country who may be eligible to work with the National Team, from National Select Camps to the most elite international camps and competitions.
What is a National Team Manager? The National Team Manager is a critical communicator amongst members of a National Team staff. From implementing travel and meal arrangements and daily itineraries to lifting boxes to communicating with medical staff, the National Team Manager is a doer and facilitator, doing whatever is necessary to ensure that coaches can execute their design for competitive success. The National Team Manager’s work extends far beyond the dates of competition and is critical to the Team’s success.
Who is a National Team Manager? The National Team Manager is a highly organized individual with the motivation to get the job done, with the best interest of the Team in mind at all times. The National Team Manager’s special skills include a knack for multi-tasking, working under pressure, succeeding in foreign environments, and teamwork. The National Team Manager is also physically fit, with the ability to lift and carry 20-40 lb packages for distances up to 300m.
