Maxwell Excellence Award
This award is given every two months under the sponsorship of Swimming World magazine and Maxwell Medals to honor an LSC official for his or her outstanding contributions to local swimming. Through your LSC Officials Chair, submit the nomination form below and mail to the contact person listed at the bottom of the form. If there is someone in your LSC that you think is deserving of this recognition, please contact your LSC Officials Chair.

Our Kids Initiative
Many people have asked the question "Will there ever be one set of rules for swimming?"
In early May of 2000, the OUR KIDS INITIATIVE was created and has helped in bringing the swimming rules across the different swimming bodies into much closer alignment. To read more about this important area, click here.

Pettigrew Award
The Kenneth J. Pettigrew Award was created to honor Ken Pettigrew, a swimming official who devoted over 30 years to swimming. Each year the recipient is chosen by the Officials’ Committee and the award is presented at the annual convention. Click here for a list of previous award winners.
