2010 Club Excellence Program application now available  (10/19/2009)

The 2,800 member clubs of USA Swimming are the foundation of the historic success of our Olympic efforts. Through the dedication of nearly 350,000 athletes, coaches, club administrators and volunteers, the American club system of swimming has become the model of development for other Olympic sports.

We are proud to honor the commitment of these clubs as we introduce the 10th year of the USA Swimming Club Excellence Program. Please click here to find the 2010 program information and application.

Please read through this year’s information very carefully, particularly if you did not apply in 2009.  There have been significant changes in the application process since 2008.

In order to apply for the 2010 program, clubs must:

  1. Complete the attached application form (pgs. 1,4 and/or 6) and
  2. Submit the performance scoring using the Online Meet Entry (OME) system on the USA Swimming website. Instructions for using OME are included in this packet. (Please note that there is no option to submit a paper entry for performance scoring.)

Also, please note that the application requirement again includes Club Recognition Program participation. All clubs applying for the 2010 Club Excellence program must successfully complete at least Level 1 of the Club Recognition Program.  If you previously completed Level 1, you don’t need to do it again.

The club programs within our organization are vital to the success of all of our athletes – from the novice trying to complete a 50 butterfly for the first time to the Olympic medalist. This program is one way in which USA Swimming recognizes our highest performing clubs and rewards them for a job well done.
