What is Swim Today?

USA Swimming wants to make getting involved in the sport of swimming as easy as possible. This summer, when the sport of swimming is in the spotlight, USA Swimming will connect those interested in the sport with USA Swimming clubs around the country.

We have provided a simple entry point for families that are inspired by watching our Olympians to YOUR club.

USA Swimming membership gets a 7 -11% average “Olympic” bump every four years. We want to make sure that your club has the tools and support it needs to take advantage of the heightened interest in our sport.

How will Swim Today help your club?

SwimToday.org is an easy starting point for people interested in the sport of swimming. The website includes an interactive quiz to find the right level for the prospective swimmer, information on swim clubs in their area and recommendations on gear to get started. Once a family has self-selected their needs, SwimToday.org will serve up your club's contact information. From there…it’s up to you to make sure they join your team!

How can my club best utilize Swim Today?

1. Make sure your contact information is correct in the USA Swimming Club Finder on www.SwimToday.org – we want it to be as easy as possible for potential swimmers to make contact with their local clubs! Not correct? e-mail swimtoday@usaswimming.org.

2. Get your free Swim Today web page: TeamUnify stands ready to help clubs manage that interest with a powerful, free, self-service Swim Today Landing Page Creator. The creator offers a branded information capture page, and links to a system that will organize and track leads for clubs. The landing page is available to any club, whether or not the club is currently on the Team Unify system. Creating the page is simple, and takes less than three minutes. Here's a recorded webinar on how to do it!

3. Utilize SwimToday Logos – We encourage local clubs to incorporate the SwimToday logo on their website or on their club page on Teamunify.com.

4. Download the SwimToday web banners and use the logo on your team’s website. Encourage parents in your local area to check out the “What level am I” section. It offers a self-guided tutorial to help determine one’s swimming ability.

5. Grow the SwimToday conversation with Social Media – Here are 60 ways you can help promote Swim Today in 60 seconds. Also, don’t forget to use the hashtag #SwimToday when posting about how people can start swimming.
