Youth Team dominates pool competition in Maui

The National Youth Team won 12 medals – five gold, three silver and four bronze – Sunday at the Junior Pan Pacific Championships in Maui. David Nolan set the meet record in the men’s 200m IM, while the American 400m medley relays set meet records in both the women’s and men’s events.

 

Sunday marked the last day of the pool competition. Team USA finished with 46 medals overall – 16 gold, 16 silver and 14 bronze. The U.S. led the field in both medal count and overall team score with 458 points. Australia was second with 382 points, while Japan was third with 264 points.

 

The meet wraps up today with the men’s and women’s 10K open water races.
