Foundation Announces 2013 Swim-a-Thon Contest Grand Prize Winner
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—The USA Swimming Foundation is pleased to name Katy Aquatics of Katy, Texas the Grand Prize club winner of the 2013 Swim-a-Thon™ Contest!
With a spin of the Swim-a-Thon™ prize wheel by Olympic gold medalist and National Team Managing Director Lindsay Mintenko, Katy Aquatics (Katy, Texas) became the Grand Prize winner of our inaugural Swim-a-Thon™ contest.
The 2013 Swim-a-Thon™ Contest Grand Prize package is epic! Katy Aquatics will receive a personal club visit from Olympic gold medalist, Ricky Berens, plus a year’s worth of license fees from the SwimOffice™ Team Management online platform, provided by TeamUnify. And, this is in addtion to the Gold Medal prize package they have already won!
The Grand Prize winner was selected among the four Gold Medal finalists named earlier this week: West
Coast Aquatics (Mill Creek, Wash.), Splash Aquatics-Makiki (Honolulu, Hawaii), Mt. Hood Aquatics (Gresham, Ore.) and Katy Aquatics (Katy, Texas), who were recognized for earning the most points for total Swim-a-Thon™ dollars raised in their club size categories between January and November 2013.
Each of the four Gold Medal winners has won a prize package that includes a customized Deck Pass Patch, a feature article in USA Swimming’s Splash magazine and a gift certificate to host a celebration pizza party. Additionally, each Gold Medal winner will receive a $200 Visa gift card provided by USA Swimming’s online fundraising partner, TeamUnify.
