USA Swimming Staff Out and About

Because USA Swimming is a member-driven organization, the staff is often on the road meeting with coaches, athletes and other stakeholders. Here’s a look at this past week:

SwimToday Launch, New York

USA Swimming staff members invaded New York this past week for the launch of SwimToday. Chief Marketing Officer Matt Farrell joined Olympic gold medalist Connor Dwyer on May 7 to promote the SwimToday public service announcement. Two days earlier, Public Relations and Social Media Director Karen Linhart along with Organizational Communications Specialist Tommy Schield joined spokesperson Dara Torres for the SwimToday media tour.

Upcoming Speaking Engagements

National Team Managing Director Lindsay Mintenko has a pair of speaking engagements in the next seven days. Mintenko will be speaking about her journey through sports and what swimming has given her at the Colorado College Student Athlete End of the Year Sports Banquet on Saturday. The following week, she will be on a panel discussion at the United States Olympic Committee High Performance Directors Conference talking about the successful partnership between National Governing Bodies and the USOC.

Also presenting this Saturday is Executive Director of the USA Swimming Foundation Debbie Hesse. She will be discussing the goals and mission of the Foundation to the Eastern Zone in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
