Tyler Clary Makes a swIMPACT for Team NEGU
Team NEGU had an exciting weekend, as Olympic gold medalist Tyler Clary and Team NEGU spokesperson Kaitlin Sandeno helped spread smiles and joy to terminally ill children at UCLA’s Mattel Children’s Hospital this past Thursday. Never Ever Give Up (NEGU) was founded in honor of 10-year-old Jessie Rees, who lost her battle with cancer this January. Shortly after being diagnosed with a brain tumor, Jessie created “Joy Jars,” or small containers that can be filled with candy, pictures, quotes and just about any other contents. The idea behind Jessie’s movement is to actively spread happiness to critically ill patients. Alongside Jennifer Matthews, Olympic medalists Sandeno and Clary both handed out Joy Jars and helped spread happiness to those in need.
