Nine U.S. National Swim Team Members to Visit Novant Health Hemby Children’s Hospital
Olympic gold medalists Cullen Jones (Irvington, N.J.) and Jessica Hardy (Long Beach, Calif.) headline a group of nine U.S. National Swim Team members visiting the Novant Health Hemby Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, N.C., on May 9 from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. The athletes will talk about their experience in the sport, sign autographs and pose for pictures with the children and their families.
“I am very excited about visiting the children’s hospital because I’m always humbled meeting the world’s youngest warriors and heroes fighting for their lives every day,” said Hardy. “I’ll be bringing my Olympic medals and hope to provide a smile to the kids and their families and inspire them to continue to persevere.”
Other National Team swimmers making an appearance at the hospital include 2012 Olympians Claire Donahue (Lenoir City, Tenn.), Charlie Houchin (Raleigh, N.C.), Micah Lawrence (Pflugerville, Texas), Tyler McGill (Champaign, Ill.), as well as Eugene Godsoe (Greensboro, N.C.), David Plummer (Oklahoma City, Okla.) and Josh Schneider (Cincinnati, Ohio).
