Megan Romano Set to Make Hometown Appearance
USA Swimming National Team member Megan Romano (St. Petersburg, Fla.) will make a hometown appearance with St. Petersburg Aquatics (Fla.) at North Shore Pool on Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. ET.
“I’m really excited to be returning home and giving back to the people who have supported me the most,” Romano said. “It will be fun meeting up-and-coming swimmers from my hometown and share what has worked for me and my experience with them.”
Romano – a two-time gold medalist at the 2013 FINA World Championships – will do an in-water clinic focusing on starts and turns for nearly 200 kids. She will also do a Q&A and talk about the importance of nutrition before ending her appearance with a photograph and autograph session.
The appearance will end at 10:30 a.m. ET, and media is welcome.
Romano’s appearance with St. Petersburg Aquatics at North Shore Pool is part of USA Swimming’s Athlete Partnership Program.
