September-October Digital Splash Magazine. (Small)For most USA Swimming members, the end of the summer represents a short break from training. After the championship meets have completed, results are tallied and celebratory parties thrown, age groupers step away from the pool.

 

The sabbatical offers a chance for swimmers to be “regular” for once, to wash the chlorine away for a few days at least.

 

When it’s time to start back with practice, many return to the pool thrilled to get back in and begin training.
