USA Swimming today announced the addition of Meghan Small (Lineboro, Md.) and P.J. Ransford (Pittsford, N.Y.) to the Team USA roster for the second summer edition of the Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, China. All team nominations are subject to approval by the United States Olympic Committee, which will announce the full roster next month.
The swimming portion of the Games is scheduled for Aug. 17-22 at the Nanjing Olympic Sports Center.

The U.S. roster features the maximum number of swimming competitors – eight, four men and four women.
Joining Small on the women’s roster are Hannah Moore (Cary, N.C.), Courtney Mykkanen (Tustin, Calif.) and Clara Smiddy (Miami, Fla.). Patrick Conaton (Larchmont, N.Y.), Patrick Mulcare (Tigard, Ore.) and Justin Wright (Fresno, Calif.) will team with Ransford on the men’s side.
Nominated athletes were selected based on the world rankings of times posted in Olympic events at one of six meets between July 2013 and May 2014. Complete selection procedures are outlined at usaswimming.org.
