The 2009 Speedo Junior National Championships wrapped up Friday in Federal Way, Wash., with swimmers Missy Franklin and Kyle Whitaker taking home the men’s and women’s high point awards. The two went a perfect five-for-five in their individual events, breaking meet records in each event they swam.

Women’s 1500m Free
Camryne Morris outdistanced the rest of the field by more than four seconds in the women’s 1500m free, while the race for second between Rachel Naurath and Bonnie Brandon came down to the wire.

Women’s 200m IM
Missy Franklin won her first of two events of the night Friday, setting the meet record in the women’s 200m IM. Felicia Lee and Sara Giberson, who also finished second and third behind Franklin in the high point scoring, finished second and third behind Franklin in this event.
