OVERVIEW

From swim lessons, to swim teams, to competitive success – the USA Swimming Foundation strives to ensure that every child has the opportunity to start their own journey to be safer in, on and around the water. And once that first step is taken, USA Swimming and the USA Swimming Foundation will be there to support every pull, kick and lap along the way!

MISSION

Serving as the philanthropic arm of USA Swimming, the USA Swimming Foundation works to strengthen the sport by saving lives and building champions. By equipping our children with the life-saving skill of learn-to-swim and providing financial support to our heroes on the U.S. National Team, the USA Swimming Foundation aims to provide the wonderful experience of swimming to kids at all levels across the country.
SAVING LIVES

The USA Swimming Foundation aims to provide the opportunity for every child in the U.S. to learn to swim. Through an annual grant program and by partnering with swim lesson providers and water safety advocates across the country, we help to support swimming lessons and educate children and their families on the importance of learning how to swim.

LEARN HOW WE DIVE INTO THE CAUSE

SAVING LIVES – THE FACTS

Our goal is to provide the opportunity for EVERY CHILD in America to learn to swim regardless of financial capacity... and we need your help.

One month of formal swimming lessons, which reduces the risk of drowning by 88%, can cost as little as $50 per child. You can make a difference in the life of a child and help break the generational barrier in learning to swim!

BUILDING CHAMPIONS – THE FACTS

The United States is one of a few countries with a government that does not provide funding for its Olympic-level athletes.
Our swimmers earned 33 of the 121 medals (27%) that Team USA won at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, which ties for the most medals won in the modern era. With support from USA Swimming Foundation donors, the 2016 USA Olympic Swimming Team’s performance is considered among the best in history.

When you donate to the USA Swimming Foundation, you help the elite swimmers of today and tomorrow, prepare and perform at their best
