The USA Swimming Foundation is excited to announce the four Gold Medal winners from the 2017 USA Swimming Foundation Swim-a-ThonTM Contest. Over 550 teams hosted a USA Swimming Foundation Swim-a-Thon in 2017, raising almost $7 million in fundraising dollars, providing critical resources for their teams!

Teams that hosted a USA Swimming Foundation Swim-a-Thon in 2017 completed their event per the terms of the contest rules were automatically entered into the 2017 contest. Gold Medal winning clubs are recognized for earning the most points for total Swim-a-Thon fundraising dollars raised and bonus points earned between December 2016 and November 2017.

This year, three of our four winning teams have won the Gold Medal title for this first time since the creation of the Swim-a-Thon contest in 2013! The USA Swimming Foundation is proud to award Seward Tsunami Swim Club (Seward, Alaska), High Tides Swim Club (Hutchinson, Minn.), Hillsboro Swim Team (Hillsboro, Ore.), and NOVA of Virginia Aquatics (Richmond,Va.) the Gold Medal title in their respective club-size categories.

These four swim clubs have each won a prize package to include: a customized Deck Pass patch, a gift certificate to host a team pizza party, and a $200 Visa gift card provided by the USA Swimming Foundation’s official online fundraising partner, TeamUnify.

Along with all of the listed prizes, each Gold Medal winner will have their name included in the Grand Prize drawing taking place on Thursday, February 15th. One club will be randomly selected and will win the ultimate prize – a personal visit from two-time Olympic medalist, Katie Meili, plus one year’s worth of license fees from the SwimOffice™ Team Management online platform, provided by TeamUnify.

The USA Swimming Foundation  would like to thank every team who participated in the USA Swimming Foundation’s Swim-a-Thon fundraising program in 2017. Stay tuned for our Grand Prize Winner announcement on Thursday, February 15th.
