Americans Top Mixed Team Relay Podium in Gravelines


  

GRAVELINES, France – The United States squad of Haley Anderson (Granite Bay, Calif./Trojan Swim Club), Ashley Twichell (Fayetteville, N.Y./TAC Titans), Taylor Abbott (Cedar Park, Texas/Tennessee Aquatics) and Michael Brinegar (Columbus, Ind./Mission Viejo Nadadores) was victorious in Friday’s 4x1250m Mixed Team Relay at the French Open Water National Championships.

The American quartet touched in 54 minutes, 56 seconds – nearly 1 minute clear of runner-up The Netherlands. Spain took third. Complete results are available online: https://www.timepulse.run/epreuves/resultats/822

Anderson won Thursday’s women’s 10K event, with Twichell touching third. All four of Friday’s Team USA competitors will compete at this summer’s Pan Pacific Championships in Tokyo.
