All-star cast of athletes slated to compete at the Indiana University (IU) Natatorium May 31 - June 1
Colorado Springs, Colo.– Tickets go on sale April 23 for the Indianapolis leg of the inaugural FINA Champions Swim Series. The International Swimming Federation’s new and unique swimming event will take place at the Indiana University (IU) Natatorium from May 31 - June 1. With star-power in every event, a new format and added entertainment, Indianapolis is sure to be the site of incredible swimming.

Indianapolis marks the third and final stop of the Series, with Guangzhou, China and Budapest, Hungary playing hosts to the first two meets, April 27-28 and May 11-12, respectively.
The star-studded field will play host to over 50 international swimmers, including Olympic gold medalists, world champions and world record holders. Some notable American swimmers set to compete include Lilly King (Evansville, Ind./Indiana University), Kathleen Baker (Winston Salem, N.C./Team Elite), Chase Kalisz (Bel Air, Md./Athens Bulldog Swim Club), Ryan Murphy (Jacksonville, Fla./California Aquatics) and Anthony Ervin (La Jolla, Calif./Team Elite). These prominent swimmers join a list of 23 U.S. National Team members set to compete at the event.
FINA launched the event with the intent to stage the greatest swimming events ever seen and to have star athletes compete against each other. Competing athletes were chosen on an invite-only basis and will compete in a unique four-lane finals-only format that is set to bring excitement to each event.

In addition to a strong U.S. line-up in Indianapolis, several international swimming powerhouses will also be represented, as swimmers from Brazil, Canada, China and Russia are also set to compete.

The two-day meet is comprised of 50-meter, 100m and 200m events in freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly, as well as the 400m freestyle and the 200m individual medley. The event will also feature exciting relay races. Along with national pride, individual winners will earn $10,000 while winning relay teams will take home $16,000. World record-setting performances also earn monetary incentives, encouraging swimmers to post exciting and memorable times throughout the meet.
