Leadership Opportunities

 | Tuesday, April 30, 2019

Our Women's Leadership opportunities are designed for every level coach to grow both personally and professionally. The structure of the summit or conference changes from event to event, but is sure to leave you feeling recharged in your life and career.

Our She LEADS Summits are designed to inspire leadership in our female athletes and build their confidence to achieve success both in and out of the pool. These summits are open to 10th, 11th and 12th grade female swimmers.

Our We LEAD Summits are designed to offer all athletes, regardless of gender, the opportunity to learn & grow as a leader. These are open to 10th, 11th and 12th grade swimmers.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update for She LEADS and Women's Leadership Summit Attendees

In prioritizing the health and wellness of all our members, as of March 12, USA Swimming has made the decision to suspend all our events, camps, conferences, or any occasion that requires individuals to travel and gather for the next 30 days. This cancellation will also include the She LEADS Summit for April 3-5 in Black Forest, Colorado and the Women’s Leadership Summit scheduled for April 17 - 19 in Black Forest, Colorado. We can credit your registration towards a future leadership event in 2020 or 2021, or issue a full refund.

LSC Athlete Leadership Information

In 2020, USA Swimming launched a pilot program providing grants to 18 Local Swim Committees to host their own local level athlete leadership summits. For more information on this program click here.

Is your LSC interested in hosting their own Athlete Leadership event? Check out our grant program & guide to hosting here. The deadline to apply for a 2020 grant has passed.

The US Center for Safe Sport and USA Swimming prohibit discrimination against any member or participant on the basis of gender, sexual orientation, gender expression and gender identity is prohibited (304.3.3). In the event that a question should arise about whether an athlete’s request to participate in a manner consistent with his/her/their gender identity is bona fide, USA Swimming will refer to the Code of Conduct and follow its standard procedures of enforcement.
