COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Tickets are now on sale for the 2020 TYR Pro Swim Series at Mission Viejo event, which will take place from April 16-19 at the Marguerite Aquatic Center in Mission Viejo, California. Tickets, which start at $10, are available at usaswimming.org/tickets.

One the most competitive domestic events series on the calendar, USA Swimming’s TYR Pro Swim Series attracts the world’s top swimmers, including USA Swimming National Team members, National Junior Team members and top 50 world-ranked swimmers.

This marks the first time in the event’s history that it will travel to Mission Viejo. It is expected to feature Olympic veterans such as Ryan Lochte (Daytona Beach, Fla./Gator Swim Club), Nathan Adrian (Bremerton, Wash./California Aquatics) and Allison Schmitt (Canton, Mich./Sun Devil Swimming). Their 28 combined medals headline a group of over 25 American Olympians slated to compete in California.

Also scheduled to compete will be regional talents and U.S. National Team members David Heron (Mission Viejo, Calif./Mission Viejo Nadadores), Katie McLaughlin (Dana Point, Calif./California Aquatics) and Ella Eastin (Irvine, Calif./Alto Swim Club). The trio of southern California natives competed at the 2019 FINA World Championships, combining to swim in six events.

The event will feature a flipped competition schedule, with finals beginning each morning at 10 a.m. PDT and nightly prelims beginning at 5 p.m. PDT. The change mimics the upcoming Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 competition schedule, allowing Olympic hopefuls an opportunity to swim under this new format before the Games. In Tokyo, semi-finals and finals begin at 10:30 a.m. local time (JST) while preliminary heats begin at 7 p.m. JST.

The competition marks the fourth of five stops on the 2020 TYR Pro Swim Series calendar. Previous stops will have included Greensboro, Knoxville and Des Moines with the series concluding in Indianapolis this spring. For the full TYR Pro Swim Series schedule, visit usaswimming.org.

Events will be televised on the NBC Sports family of networks and via live stream on usaswimming.org.
