Today is the International Day of Happiness -- What Makes You Smile?

By USA Swimming  | Friday, March 20, 2020

Today is the International Day of Happiness. In order to celebrate, USA Swimming asked its followers on Facebook and Twitter to drop a photo, video, or comment of a swimming memory that makes you smile.

Check out some of them, below. For more posts, go to @usaswimming on Facebook and Twitter

  • Mystik Maven When I was a young swimmer it was my dream job to teach swim lessons. I am now a swim instructor and have watched my teenage sons, join swim teams and reach state land national level competitions. It brings me much joy to see something I thought of as a 9yr old flourish in my family. There are both missing the water right now.
  • Kelly Daldos being the "little one" in swim isnt a compliment. She worked twice as hard and practiced her heart out every day.
FINALLY!!! Setting goals, and then smashing them!!

  • Jen Gring My senior daughter hugging my freshman daughter after she just finished 2nd in the 100 fly at her first HS State meet. Blessed that they got this year together.

Joan Wong My favorite picture I captured for my son (yellow cap)who loves swimming since he was 6 years old. Like many swimmers he had gone through many disappointments throughout years, but the photos I captured all these years remind him the joy of swimming he found originally. I know he’ll be more excited once the pool is open once again.

  • Amanda Lampinen Haan This picture is 6 years old now, but will always be my favorite swimming picture of my girl. Pure joy.
