Any USA Swimming club can compete in a sanctioned or non-sanctioned competition to become eligible for the leaderboard. During this month-long competition, events must take place between September 7 and October 11.
Teams will be allowed to run as many sessions as needed to serve their teams and comply with public health guidelines. Each team may also choose which events to offer at each session. Results should be submitted by 11:59 p.m. MST Sunday night to ensure the results are included in that week’s leaderboard.
All participating clubs will be divided into three divisions based on historical age group rankings and team size. For each of the three divisions, a leaderboard consisting of the top-8 teams will be released every Wednesday. At the conclusion of the series, each division will crown a Series Team Champion.
Because many pools are still closed, clubs will not be restricted by course. As some clubs will be swimming SCY, SCM, and LCM, the virtual series will use the FINA Points formula to normalize times across courses. The normalized times will be used to rank and score events 1st through 16th for each division, age group, and gender.
