2010 CONOCOPHILLIPS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

The 2010 ConocoPhillips National Championships were held Aug. 3-7, 2010 at the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center in Irvine, Calif.  The event served as trials for numerous events, including the 2010 Mutual of Omaha Pan Pacific Championships to be held in Irvine August 18-21.  

 

The high-point winners of the meet were Ryan Lochte of Gator Swim Club and Missy Franklin of Colorado Stars.

08/31/2010  Baxter, Iriondo take 1-2 in 10K in Maui
Team USA’s Tristin Baxter and Damarias Iriondo went 1-2 in the women’s 10K open water race Monday at the Junior Pan Pacific Championships in Maui. Baxter finished nearly three minutes ahead of the rest of the field, turning in a time of 1 hour, 58 minutes and 42.77 seconds. Iriondo was second in 2:01:35.60, while Japan’s Haruna Ota was third in 2:03:16.67.
08/30/2010  Youth Team dominates pool competition in Maui
The National Youth Team won 12 medals – five gold, three silver and four bronze – Sunday at the Junior Pan Pacific Championships in Maui. David Nolan set the meet record in the men’s 200m IM, while the American 400m medley relays set meet records in both the women’s and men’s events.
08/29/2010  Four golds for the Youth Team on day 3 in Maui
The U.S. National Youth Team won 12 medals – four gold, five silver and three bronze – Saturday at the Junior Pan Pacific Championships in Maui. Americans Chelsea Chenault, Nicholas Caldwell and the women’s 400m free relay also set meet records in the respective events.
08/28/2010  Youth Team wins 8 more medals in Maui
The U.S. National Youth Team won eight medals – three gold, three silver and two bronze -- Friday at the Junior Pan Pacific Championships in Maui. Team USA’s effort on day 2 brought its total medal count to 22 – eight gold, seven silver and seven bronze.
08/27/2010  Team USA wins 14 medals on first night of Junior Pan Pacs
Team USA won 14 medals – five gold, four silver and five bronze – Thursday, on the first night of the Junior Pan Pacific Championships in Maui. After the first night of competition, the Americans lead all nations in the medal count and top the team scoring with 110 points. Australia is second with 73 points, followed by Japan with 58.
