USA Swimming and TYR Unveil National Team Kit for the 2024 Olympics

by Nikki Warner // USA Swimming
USA Swimming, the National Governing Body for the sport, and TYR, the exclusive outfitter of the National Team and the National Junior Team, unveiled today the National Team Kit for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. On display at the final stop of the 2024 TYR Pro Swim Series in San Antonio, fans will have the opportunity to view the head-to-toe kit, which includes footwear, technical apparel, and accessories for walkouts onto the swim deck during competition, media day appearances, training camps, as well as supplemental pieces for National Team coaches and National Team staff.
Beginning with the TYR USA Venzo, athletes will be armed with the industry's first and only technical suit to analyze drag from a microscopic perspective. Utilizing ultra-smooth fiber to thread a frictionless, durable fabric, the TYR Venzo is designed with state-of-the-art Surface Lift Technology, preventing water from permeating the fabric and resulting in a higher body position in the water. In addition, a patent-pending taping and inner textile design, known as the Endo Max Compression Cage, provides a shield of support for the abdominals, obliques, and quadriceps.
Next, the TYR Hydrosphere Elite Down Parka boasts a 400 GSM down-filled layered thermo waterproof fabrication, outfitting National Team members with ultra warmth protection as they step out onto the blocks in Paris. Featuring an extended oversized hood and microfiber-lined pockets, the TYR Hydrosphere Elite Down Parka is the pinnacle of performance outerwear.
Most notably, TYR will be the first USA Swimming National Team sponsor to provide footwear along with outerwear. The celebrated CXT-1 Trainer, named Gear Patrol’s “Best Gym Shoe for HIIT Training” in 2024, will make its debut on the world’s biggest stage. With a translucent engineered Stars & Stripes printed outsole, these trainers will be the perfect pairing to the apparel pieces in the collection.
"TYR is proud to unveil the new USA Swimming National Team uniform, a symbol of unity, strength, and commitment to excellence. With an innovative design and unrivaled quality, this uniform embodies the spirit of champions," said Matt DiLorenzo, CEO of TYR Sport.
Warm-ups are key to every competitor’s preparation for the big moment, so TYR’s Hydrosphere Softshell Recon Jacket and Elevation Tech Jogger were carefully designed with movement in mind. Made to stretch, the Elevation Tech Jogger’s denier is 290 GSM for optimal fit and comfort. Side seam pockets, hidden side zipper pocket for women, and thigh zipper pocket and back hidden pocket for men, provide carefully thought-out storage options for items such as goggles, caps, and headphones. The hex-fleece lining on the Softshell Recon Jacket prioritizes lightweight warmth for the upper body.
“TYR has created kits that offer exceptional technical assistance to our athletes on their path to the podium. We appreciate their dedication to innovation and are eager to wear these pieces on the global stage," said Lindsay Mintenko, Managing Director of the USA Swimming National Team. "With TYR's backing, we are certain that our team will perform to the best of its ability.”
