Our Core Values

Coaching Behind a Cause

USA Swimming exists for the growth and success of swimming in the United States. Coaches are integral to this mission, guiding swimmers to excellence in the pool, and instilling in them the tools they need to succeed in life beyond competition. Here’s where they can find the resources they need to do that, including education, safety training, safe sport information, information on workshops and clinics, and more.

Sustained Success
We provide coaches the tools necessary to build their skills and become successful. We provide clubs with the resources to become safe and inclusive environments; the educational opportunities to support and engage non-athlete volunteers; and the operational expertise to contribute to a club’s success.
Public Engagement and Growth
We promote water safety and emphasize that swimming saves lives. We prioritize growth in participation for all cultures, ages, genders, economic backgrounds and levels of ability.
Best in Class NGB
We strive for members to recognize the value and impact of the organization on their lives. We strive to be recognized as a leader in Safe Sport.
