New Background Check Requirement for Officials
USA Swimming launched a new background check program beginning January, 2011. All non-athlete members of USA Swimming must satisfactorily complete criminal background checks and athlete protection education.
Based on new rules established at the U.S. Aquatic Sports Convention in September 2011, officials are required to complete a Level 2 Background Check. For more information,
