2015 Make a Splash Tour
Presented by Phillips 66
4 cities, 5 athletes, 1 very important message
Olympians Rowdy Gaines, Conor Dwyer, Cullen Jones, Jessica Hardy, and Terry Hunt from Phillips 66 take their marks on the 3-D chalk pool in Chicago's Pioneer Court on Michigan Avenue as part of the 2015 Make a Splash Tour.
The USA Swimming Foundation wrapped up its 7th Make a Splash Tour presented by Phillips 66 on June 22. The Tour stopped in 4 cities to spread the lifesaving message of learn-to-swim.
Olympians and USA Swimming Foundation Ambassadors Cullen Jones and Rowdy Gaines, visited pools in Freeport TX, Alliance LA, and San Antonio TX. They were joined in Chicago IL, by fellow Olympians Jessica Hardy, Conor Dwyer, and Christine Magnuson - all of whom hopped in the pool with children of all ages to introduce them to the water and start them on their way to learning how to swim.
The tour was a great success and generated national media coverage for the importance of learning to swim. To see the interviews, read the stories, and learn more about the 2015 Make a Splash tour, check out our flipboard here.
