Gunnar Bentz is a two-time Olympian who represented Team USA at the 2016 Rio and 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.  By winning the gold medal in the 4x200-meter freestyle relay in Rio, Gunnar became the first male Georgia swimmer to win an Olympic gold medal.

 

Gunnar currently works in the data center industry.  He has served in multiple USA Swimming governance roles, including the Athletes’ Advisory Council, the National Team Steering Committee, and the House of Delegates. He also spent six months in Lausanne, Switzerland working at World Aquatics, where he had firsthand exposure to World Aquatics and International Olympic Committee procedures and strategy.
