
Jamie Bloom joined the Team Services staff at USA Swimming in September 2026, bringing decades of experience as a coach, governance leader, volunteer, and advocate for athlete development. Throughout her career, she has coached at the club, high school, collegiate, and national levels, including leadership roles with the YMCA of the Triangle Area (YOTA) Swim Team, YMCA of Greater Westfield, the University of Tennessee, and several successful age-group programs.
A strong advocate for athlete-centered development, Jamie believes swimming provides opportunities to build character, resilience, leadership, and lifelong skills. Her work has focused on creating environments where athletes, coaches, clubs, and volunteers can thrive while supporting the long-term growth of the sport.
In addition to her coaching accomplishments, Jamie has been deeply engaged in governance and service throughout USA Swimming and YMCA Swimming. She has served in leadership positions at the local, zone, and national levels, contributing to boards, committees, task forces, and strategic initiatives that help shape and strengthen the sport. She has also represented Team USA internationally as a National Team Manager and has contributed extensively to coach and athlete development programs across the country.
Jamie holds degrees from Slippery Rock University and Western Maryland College and remains passionate about strengthening the swimming community through collaboration, education, service, and the development of healthy, sustainable swimming organizations.
