Carrie Stolar

 

BOARD MEMBER

Carrie Stolar is an experienced marketer, community outreach specialist, and project leader whose work includes sports (Wilson Sporting Goods), consumer packaged goods (The Pillsbury Company) and nonprofits, where she helped develop and market children’s curricula (Säjai Foundation). Most recently she’s worked on community engagement for large-scale projects on behalf of the Minnesota Department of Transportation. She’s also served in leadership roles for sports organizations, professional trade organizations, and small businesses.

 

Carrie’s ties to swimming continue to be strong. She competes in Masters’ open water and pool competitions and is also a Masters, USA Swimming and volunteer high school swimming coach. She is on the USMS Board of Directors and is chair of Minnesota Masters. Within the aquatics world, her passion is teaching adults how to swim. She helps lead and participates as an instructor in Minnesota’s robust Adult Learn to Swim (ALTS) program. 

 

Carrie resides with her husband in the Minneapolis area with their cat and dog. Their three children have grown and flown. Carrie has her BA in Economics and European Studies from Vanderbilt University where she was a member of the varsity swim team, and she received her MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

 

In addition to swimming, Carrie is an avid tennis player and runner and enjoys traveling the world with her family.
