USA Swimming Announces 2020-21 Scholastic All-America Team

by USA Swimming
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Swimming today announced the full list of 2020-2021 Scholastic All-America recipients. The list consisted of 1,239 athletes in 9-12th grade who maintained a minimum 3.5 grade-point average and swam a time that met the 2019 Winter Junior qualifying time between September 1, 2020 and August 31, 2021.
Of the 1,239 athletes, Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 silver medalist Torri Huske (Arlington, Va./Arlington Aquatic Club) was the only athlete who achieved a perfect score, achieving a 4.0 GPA and the title of Open Champion, which she claimed via her win in the 100-meter freestyle at the 2020 Toyota U.S. Open. This is the second-consecutive year where Huske has received a perfect score and gives her the Scholastic All-America title for her fourth and final year of high school.
This also marks the first year where parallel time standards were included in the selection process, providing recognition for eight eligible athletes.
Leading all Local Swimming Committees (LSCs) in Scholastic All-America selections was North Carolina Swimming, which had 90 athletes receive the honor. Within North Carolina Swimming was SwimMAC Carolina, whose 31 Scholastic All-America athletes led all clubs across the country. A full breakdown of selections can be found below.
