Lee on his race: "Losing last week, I went into the meet I was trying to get an experience, trying to get into the A-Final and race the top guys in the country. I think I did pretty well. I dropped time, but I didn't see the results I really wanted. Going into this week was harder for me mentally than physically. I didn't know how I'd perform, but I still wanted to show up and try my hardest. With my parents here, I wanted to show them what I was capable of."

Lee on his season: "This season is a lot different than my other seasons. I've been travel a lot more. I've been racing at higher-level meets that I've never competed in before, from my first TYR Pro Series, my first Nationals to my first Junior Nationals win. Racing against these top guys and knowing I have to go fast in the prelims is something I'm not used to, so I've had to prepare myself physically. I've been having a lot of fun racing these guys and knowing that there's so much more ahead of me in the future."
