Natalie Coughlin Hall is the Chair of the USA Swimming Board of Directors. Natalie is a 12-time Olympic medalist and former world record holder. She attended the 2004, 2008, and 2012 Olympic Games, as well as five World Championships over her career. In 2008, she won 6 medals in one Olympiad, making her the first woman to ever do so. She competed at the University of California, Berkeley where she earned 12 NCAA titles and three NCAA Swimmer of the Year honors.

 

Natalie has been involved in governance for nearly a decade, first serving as the Team USA Athletes’ Commission Representative from 2016 to 2021 and then as an At-Large Athlete member of the USA Swimming Board of Directors. She was elected to the Vice Chair position in 2023 and assumed the Chair position in 2025.

 

In her professional life, Natalie is a partner at Gaderian Wines in Napa Valley.
