Patrick Murphy

Managing Director, Technology & Data

Patrick Murphy serves as the Managing Director of Technology and Data at USA Swimming, overseeing the organization’s technology strategy, data initiatives, software product development, mobile app, website, and IT infrastructure. His team is responsible for driving innovation through data analytics, software development, and secure digital platforms to support the sport at all levels.

Murphy joined USA Swimming in 2018 after earning a Master of Science in Data Science from Georgia Tech and has since led a large-scale digital transformation, modernizing the organization’s data and technology ecosystem.

A lifelong swimmer, Murphy grew up competing for The Bolles School Sharks in Jacksonville, FL. He went on to swim collegiately at the University of Notre Dame, where he was a two-time team captain. He resides in Colorado with his wife, Cat.
