JAY CHAMBERS

Senior Advisor, Central Zone

Jay Chambers has been named as Senior Advisor, Team Services (Central Zone). Chambers joined USA Swimming in March of 2017 as a Sport Performance Consultant. Prior to USA Swimming, he served as the head coach for the Fishers Area Swimming Tigers just outside Indianapolis. Chambers has coached several teams over his 41- year coaching career, including at the Indianapolis Athletic Club, Washington Township Swim Club, Tippecanoe Swim Team & Harrison High School, Heritage Christian School and nationally-renowned Carmel Swim Club where he was honored as Indiana Coach of the Year in 1998.

Chambers also previously served as an assistant coach for Ohio University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s degree in physical education.
