TAIPEI – Team USA was golden on the final night of the 2017 World University Games, as American swimmers earned four gold medals – and seven total medals – to conclude competition at the National Taiwan Sport University Arena.

The women’s 400m medley relay took silver in 4:00.49 with Hannah Stevens (Lexington, Ohio/University of Missouri), Cottrell, Hellen Moffitt (Alexandria, Va./North Carolina) and Baldwin representing Team USA.
Katrina Konopka (Greenville, S.C./Tucson Ford Dealers Aquatics) added bronze in the women’s 50m free in 25.21, with Sierra Schmidt (Erdenheim, Pa./Club Wolverine) winning bronze in the women’s 400m free in 4:09.82.
Ress paced all swimmers with four medals in Taipei, including three gold. In addition to the 400m medley relay, he earned gold in the 100m back, 400m free relay and silver in the 50m back.
