Ledecky Back in Indiana One Year after Setting World Record in Indy

Ledecky Back in Indiana One Year after Setting World Record in Indy

One year ago today, Katie Ledecky set the world record in the women’s 1500m freestyle at the TYR Pro Swim Series in Indianapolis. Her time of 15:20.48 shattered the former mark, which she set at the 2015 FINA World Championships by 5 full seconds.

Here’s a look back at that race:

Ledecky is back in the water this weekend -- in the same state, less than an hour down the road -- at the TYR Pro Swim Series at Bloomington. She will not be swimming in the 1500 as the meet kicks off tonight at 4 p.m. Eastern Time, but she is slated to swim the 100 free, 400 free, the 200 free, the 400 IM and the 800 free.

Is another world records in the cards for the world’s greatest distance swimmer? Find out this weekend at the TYR Pro Swim series at Bloomington.
