by USA Swimming
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Swimming today named the 67 members of the 2017-18 USA Swimming National Junior Team, honoring many of the nation’s top rising swimming stars for their performances in 2017.
“This year’s National Junior Team roster displays the incredible young talent we have within the ranks of USA Swimming,” said Mitch Dalton, USA Swimming National Junior Team Director. “Combined with the 14 athletes who made the National Team as high schoolers, the National Junior Team honorees are a credit to the amazing work being done by our tremendous club coaches and the programs that place an emphasis on competitive excellence.”
The complete National Junior Team women’s roster and men’s roster can be found online at usaswimming.org. National Junior Team members must be age 18 or under on Sept. 1, 2017.
Three swimmers earned National Junior Team status in a team-high four events: Taylor Ault (Hacienda Heights, Calif./La Mirada Armada), Lucie Nordmann (Woodlands, Texas/Magnolia Aquatic Club) and Trey Freeman (Salt Lake City, Utah/Baylor Swim Club). Eight were honored in three-plus events.
