Olympian, Foundation Staffer Scott Usher Inducted into Nebraska High School Sports Hall of Fame

Scott Usher, 2004 Olympian and currently the Director of Major Gifts with the USA Swimming Foundation, has been named to the Nebraska High School Sports Hall of Fame.

He was honored with his fellow inductees Sunday at Lincoln (Neb.) East High School.

Born and raised in Grand Island, Nebraska, Usher is a 2001 graduate of Grand Island High School. Usher qualified for the 2004 Olympic Games in the 200-meter breaststroke, as well as four world championships rosters. He was a five-time collegiate All-American selection for Wyoming and is a member of the Wyoming Athletics Hall of Fame.

He earned his bachelors from the University of Wyoming and his M.S. in Sport Studies from Miami University. In his current role with the USA Swimming Foundation, Usher plans and implements strategies for the Foundation’s major gifts program to increase donations at higher levels. He also contributes to other strategic fundraising initiatives including the annual fundraising plan, grant writing, sponsorship, and events
