Michael Andrew sets Meet Record at Mare Nostrum in Monaco

U.S. National Team member Michael Andrew set a Mare Nostrum record in the 50m backstroke Sunday, turning in a time of 24.45. The event was part of the Speed Tournament at the first stop of the Mare Nostrum series, June 8-9 in Monaco. The series continues June 11-12 in Canet en Roussillon, France; and June 15-16 in Barcelona, Spain.
Andrew also won the men’s 100m backstroke in 53.84. He was one of a handful of U.S. National Teamers competing in Monaco. For complete results, go to montecarlo-swimming.org.
