USA Swimming Adds 2021 TYR 18&Under Spring Cup to Events Calendar

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Swimming, the National Governing Body for the sport of swimming in the United States, today announced the addition of the TYR 18&Under Spring Cup to the 2021 calendar of events. The long course meter competition will feature four host sites across the country from April 29-May 2.
The four-day meet will take place in Irvine, Calif.; Des Moines, Iowa; Richmond, Va. and Orlando, Fla. The event represents an opportunity for in-person competition and another chance for swimmers to earn qualifying cuts for the U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Swimming, slated for Omaha, Nebraska in June. As of March 9, 2021, there are 282 18&Under swimmers have qualified for June’s big event.
This will mark the third national event for 18&Under swimmers hosted by USA Swimming since December 2020, following the 18&Under Winter Championships and the 18&Under Spring Virtual Championships.
