USA Swimming to Host TYR Pro Swim Series at Mission Viejo in April

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Swimming announced today that the next leg of the 2021 TYR Pro Swim Series will head to Mission Viejo, California, April 8-11. The long-course meet will take place at the Marguerite Aquatic Center and feature a reversed schedule, with evening Prelims and morning Finals, to mimic the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 schedule.
This competition marks the third TYR Pro Swim Series event of 2021, following successful meets in San Antonio in January and March. To qualify for the April meet, athletes must have a U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Swimming Wave I qualifying time. The meet will feature approximately 150 women and 150 men. All local, state, and federal health guidelines will be strictly adhered to at each competition site and entry limits will reflect these local restrictions.
All attendees be required to present negative COVID-19 tests both before competition and on-site, prior to the start of competition. Additionally, all attendees will also be required to complete a daily digital symptom tracker beginning 14 days before competition.
Historically, the TYR Pro Swim Series has consisted of a series of 3.5-day long course events, each attracting between 400-600 of the world’s top swimmers including, USA Swimming National Team members, Junior National Team members and top-50 world ranked swimmers.
