USA Swimming Adds Two Summer Events to 2021 National Calendar


COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Swimming, the National Governing Body for the sport of swimming in the United States, today announced the addition of two long course meter competitions to the 2021 schedule of national events. The USA Swimming Futures Championships and Speedo Summer Invitational will take place this summer, shortly following the U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Swimming and Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.

Four sites will host USA Swimming’s Futures Championships, with Huntsville, Ala., Santa Clarita, Calif. and Fargo, N.D. taking place from July 28-31, while Richmond, Va. will host the competition from July 29-August 1. 

The 2021 Speedo Summer Invitational will take place in both Irvine, Calif. and Greensboro, N.C. from August 3-7. The qualification window runs from July 1, 2019 through to the entry deadline, with 18&Under athletes needing to meet the 2019 Summer Junior National time standards and 19&Over athletes needing to meet the 2019 Phillips 66 National Championships time standards.
