Less Than One Month Until USA Swimming Workshop presented by LiveBarn

by USA Swimming
The USA Swimming Workshop presented by LiveBarn is just less than one month away! Register while there is still time left, as this will be a great opportunity for LSC leaders, coaches, non-athlete and athlete members. This year's workshop will take place April 21-24 in Denver, Colorado — the full, UPDATED agenda can be found here.
This year's workshop will cover a variety of tracks and sessions. Two of the focuses on the agenda are around Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Athlete Representation. These two tracks will feature the following sessions:
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Sessions | Friday, April 22:
Athlete Representation Sessions | Friday, April 22
"I am excited to attend and learn more about the organizational equity building within DEI as an athlete who is heavily involved in DEI on the LSC and National level," Diya Ackerman-Vallala, the Athlete Representative on the USA Swimming National DEI Committee said. "I'm excited to hear about what new changes and other things we can implement into DEI to make it a fun, engaging and eye-opening workshop everyone can take away from."
“I am so excited to finally be able to put my years of learning in this position to use by meeting and working in person with all my peers and mentors who I have looked at on a Zoom screen for almost three years," Jacks Mitchell, an athlete in the Southeastern LSC said. "I am so grateful for this opportunity to finally go to my first in-person workshop for USA Swimming and meet all the people that do so much for our sport. I hope to make an impact for both my LSC and for all of the athletes who make it possible for us to what we do.”
Lodging for the event is $119/night (plus taxes) — details can be found on the registration page. Ohio Swimming Admin Director Erin Schwab added, "Ohio is using our reserves to send individuals to the workshop. We have nine non-athletes and four athletes identified and hopefully all will be able to come."
This four-day enhanced workshop will offer in-person opportunities for leaders in our LSCs to gather, learn, network and debate.
